WEEK FOUR

Went to a museum about the witch trials in Salem Mass with creepy dioramas of the events surrounding the hangings of some 19 people accused of witchcraft.

Free beer and tour of the Sam Adams Brewery in Boston.  We tried the oktoberfest, an ipa, and this belgian style ale that they dont serve anywhere else.  Also tested some samples that should be coming out in the future.

 Tree
 Walden Pond

Walden's one of my favorite books; pretty cool to see where Thoreau wrote it

 So good

 Maine!
 Campsite at Lamoine State Park

Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor

 Lobstah Roll

Didnt actually drink the blueberry ale (because blueberry beer is disgusting) but had another local craft beer that was pretty delicious

Views from Cadillac Mountain, tallest peak in Acadia
 These are the porcupine islands.

 Another little lighthouse
Cobscook Bay State Park.  Our site was right on the water so we could watch the movement of the tides, which had a range of 20 ft or so
It rained pretty hard so we rigged a tarp, problem was that the only set of trees we could use were right on a hill....we slept on a precarious slant but it worked out ok
Low tide in the morning, hard to see but the entire region becomes a marsh

 High tide around midday

 Tide moving out at night
Stayed with our friend Tess in Shelburne, NH.  Her family runs a hostel in the white mtns that caters to hikers of the appalachian trail
She took us to some cool places in the area.  This is Diana's Baths near Gorham, NH
And a water fall that I forget the name of

 More delicious local beer
Stayed on Lake Piseco in the Adirondacks.  Right on the water again, wish i had my boat
 The view this morning

Niagra Falls tomorrow!
